A Very Cool French Wine

79. CoulyDutheil, Chinon, Clos de L’Echo, 1990

In the Loire valley, true cabernet is cabernet franc. Sauvignon is the base pretender. This is a remarkable wine: Great vineyard, great vintage and the wine comes from one of the greatest proponents of Loire reds.
